God did not send Jesus to wash away our sins just so that we are saved for eternity.
He did not save us so that we can heal the sick and do miracles.
This isn't either to improve our everyday life that Jesus died on the cross.

When Jesus died on the cross it is for every human being to have the opportunity to become like God, to simply have this image back upon which we have been created.

Genesis 1:26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; ,...

But what is the image of God? What is His likeness?
Is God at the image of a spirit? No
Is God at the image of a body? No

The answer is simple:

1 John 4:8  He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.

1 John 4:16  And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.

The image of God is to be love.
But this isn't the love that humans know.
God is love in His image, He is love, He gives this unconditional love without needing anything in return. God is self-sufficient.

That's why Jesus came to wash away our sins on the cross in the first place, in order to give us the opportunity to become love like He is love.
That's the only reason of the cross, to give us a nature according to the image of God, the one we had lost at the fall.

The cross is there for me to become love just like God is love.
John 13:35  By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”
John 15:9  As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love.
John 17:26  And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.”

Jesus said that He came to fulfill the law on the cross.
Here's what Paul says about it: Romans 13:10  Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilment of the law.

The major difference between God and satan is simple:
·         Satan is centered on himself, and ignores others. He is not motivated by love.
·         God is centered on others, and ignores Himself. He is love.

1 John 4:8  He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.

When I have realized this, then I have also understood that everything I say, everything I do, must have its source into the unconditional love of God in me.
Without that, I only waste my time.
I can prophesy, do miracles, give my whole life and preach in the streets around the world, if love is not the source of it, I'm just a self-centered person, who needs to put on the image of God.

When I enter in this dimension of being in His image, then I can say: “ I'm free”. Free from myself, and free from others. I'm His son (daughter) because then, I am in His image.
Why am I free?
Simply because no one has any influence on me anymore. I am no longer dependent on the reaction (or the non-reaction) of others when I show them love.

If you love to receive in return it is that you have not understood what is the image that God has offered you.
If everyone is honest with himself, he will find out that all arguments, disappointments or frustrations, come from the fact that he was waiting to receive a positive return from the other, regarding to his words or actions.

« But it is normal to feel loved "some would say...
Yes it's true, but when I love, how can I have the need to be loved if I'm love. Why do I need something that God has given me and that I am permanently overflowing with?...

If I call myself a Christian, so I'm a little Christ. Jesus has never waited anything in return, He has been motivated by an unconditional love.
Why?
Because the source of His love came from God and not from others. He was love. His recognition came from God and not from others.

God would never have sent His Son on Earth if He had loved us hoping for something in return, this is an undeniable fact.

Everything we have just said is valid for all kinds of human relationships that we can have.
Toward my neighbor in general, toward a friend, toward my husband, my wife. If I give to receive in return, then I consider that what I have received from God is not enough.
I love my wife (husband) without hoping anything in return, this is how I would never be disappointed, frustrated. This is called: being love as God is love, be made in the image of God.

Does it mean I won't enjoy when I receive something in return?
Not at all!
On the contrary I would be joyful, but I would not be “hooked up” to this return. So when there will be no return, this will not affect my way of being.

Then I'm free. The fruit of this freedom, this position of son (daughter), will now push me to speak about the grace every time I have an opportunity, do miracles at every opportunity, give my time, my money, my love, when the situation requires.
This becomes the byproduct of the fact that I am now in His image.
The opposite would be devastating, but nevertheless, it is the case of the majority...

John 8:36 If therefore the son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.
It is this freedom that Jesus was talking about.

Don't get me wrong, because finally what we have just said is just the normal Christian life...

Bye for now.
